I think I am pretty good at writing topical material, even on short notice. I just happened to see that this contest was on Infowars.com the day it was due. The background is that Hillary Clinton called on The Laugh Factory to remove video of comic making fun of her. Odly she has pretended to believe in freedom on the internet. So Alex Jones put out a challenge with a prize of $5,000 first place for a video up to five minutes long making fun of Shillary. With ten hours to whip something together I wrote a pretty good set of jokes and filmed this bit. Hope somebody can get a few laughs out of it, even if I do not win the contest.
The Move To Amend campaign started in response to the Citizens United court ruling that granted more unprecedented "rights" to corporate persons, even more so it seems than actual humans. The 14th amendment was supposed to make slaves, considered subhuman to be recognized, which clearly didn't happen for nearly hundreds of years and still is in question. The 14th was used to make corporations more people than dark-skinned folks. Check out the documentary The Corporation for this twisted history. I don't think we need to amend the constitution in so much as we need a constitutional convention to set these things straight. Corporations used to have to provide a public good, now they exist to exploit the environment and human life to fulfill the primary objective of seeking profit.
Amending is an extremely difficult process. States should make declarations or something against this insanity. Local elections, campaign finance restrictions and pushing back the corrupt nexus of the increasingly fascist Federal government would be more tangible solutions. People should focus on their bio-region, independence and self-sufficiency, so they are not beholden to distant corrupt bureaucrats.
Everyone should watch this documentary The Corporation!
